Support the 25=50 Challenge
Donate by June 30th to double your impact!
"Thank you, thank you, thank you ...The healing you are making possible and the suffering you are preventing are tremendous.”
What's the 25=50 Challenge?
The Challenge is to raise $25,000 from first-time donors by June 30th to win a $25,000 grant from The Ms. Foundation.
It's simple. 1,000 new $25 donors by June 30th = $50,000 to prevent child sexual abuse.
Donate online now to join others who believe we can stop the sexual abuse of children. It is preventable - not inevitable.
Then help spread the word through your social networks by joining one of our supporters' Causes and by connecting with us on Twitter or Facebook.
Why should I support the 25=50 Challenge to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse?
- Double your impact. If we reach our goal your donation will be matched, dollar-for-dollar.
- Give other adults a way to speak up and learn how to stop child sexual abuse.
- Show that you care about children.
- Directly help individual adults and families overcome fear and isolation by giving them balanced information and practical guidance.
How can my one $25 donation make a difference?
Child sexual abuse impacts one in five children in the US alone. But very little public or private funding is invested in preventing sexual abuse where it occurs most - in our families and communities. People with questions or concerns over the possible abuse of a child have very few safe places to turn for information and help. Here are some of the ways your support can help address this need:
- 500 concerned adults can find specific answers and referrals from our Online Help Center to better protect children from sexual abuse.
"I had been struggling with what to do, and you really empowered me to protect my daughter... I went and got her away from a risky situation. It made me feel strong."
- 500 families get concrete guidelines for keeping everyone safe from child sexual abuse by using our Family Safety Plan.
"It made me cry with relief to have information on how to try to cope with the concerns I have about an extended family member and the safety of my baby daughter. Thank you"
- A parent breaks their isolation by contacting our Help Services to discuss their concerns about their child’s behavior.
"I had a gut feeling and I knew what I was seeing was wrong. I had nobody to talk to about it, but the Helpline and the website offered validation and affirmed my concerns."
- 800 concerned adults get relief from the specific information and action steps detailed in our Warning Signs lists.
“In six pages you have compiled a comprehensive, detailed, and easy-to-read guide that should be in the hands of parents, teachers, clergy, MDs RNs, Depts of Social Service, and all therapists. I have never seen such a user-friendly and complete guide before.”
- 2000 adults learn how to approach neighborhood and family safety when they are worried about people on their local sex offender registryi.
“I’ve been reading all these articles about ‘how to spot a pedophilei’ and never got anywhere. When I found your website, I got more than I needed to be able to understand what was going on.”
- Tens of thousands of new visitors to our website each month continue to find up-to-date, user-friendly information.
“Your website gives hope to those who need it most."
"The candid information given here offers practical and compassionate help."
